ABOUT

Panteón was a death/thrash metal band. Before I joined, they already had a couple of years of trajectory in the local scene of my city. I remember, when I was 14 years old, I saw them playing live and I told my cousin that was in the gig with me: “I would really like to play in this band. I love the name, the songs, and the singer’s growls”. A few months after that, by the end of 1994, my guitar teacher told me they were looking for a new guitarist if I was interested in join them.

I learned all their songs in a couple of weeks (with the help of their former guitarist) and had my first live show with them (my first ever actually) in just a few months.

The most important gigs I did with Panteón, was as support band of Logos in one occasion and with Malón in another, two iconic heavy metal groups from Argentina. We also recorded 2 songs for a compilation album called “Culturas de Sótano” (Basement Cultures).

After a while of me joining the band, we started to experiment more with groove and industrial metal, we even choose to do Dadivian from Machine Head as a cover song.

The bassist didn’t liked this change much and one day, around February of 1996, he decided to leave the band and claimed the name and all the songs. In other words, he kicked everyone of us out of the band.
