ABOUT
Las Uvas de Nerón was a very active SkaPunk band formed in 2000 and disbanded around 2010. Over those 10 years it has a lot of member changes. Neron, the singer, was who has leaded and maintained this project alive for more than a decade.
Neron and I are old friends since my days at Mad Clown, when he was the singer of Butumbaba. By the beginning of 2007 he was looking for new members and he invited me to play the guitar. Along with Manu Branca (former member and founder of Flor Mostaza) on bass, and Andrés Pagura on drums, we started to do some of our own versions of oldest Las Uvas’ songs. We also gave it the final form to an old idea of mine and created the song Máscara de Gas (Gas Mask).
A few moths after that, Zulian Bottegoni joined the band to play guitar. Then, I became a sort of wild card in the band. I played the guitar on a couple of songs and in others, I was a sort of second vocalist or backing vocalist. We did a few live shows together.
Las Uvas de Nerón – My Rongga (Live 09.15.2007)
We recorded 3 songs in 2007. In Máscara de Gas I recorded the guitars and the chorus voice, in My Rongga I did the backing vocals, and Republik of Tuve was my attempt to do something similar to the kargyraa throat singing.
By the end of 2007, due my lack of time, I didn’t participate in the band anymore.
