BIO

Después del intento fallido con D.E.L. to form a band from scratch, I was decided to from a new one that follows the sound I started to develop at D.E.L. and, later on, I discovered that was present in the first records of bands like KoЯn, Coal Chamber, Incubus, (həd) p.e., Limp Bizkit, etc. Actually was Diego, the singer of D.E.L., who make me hear KoЯn for the first time after D.E.L. splited up. In those days, was very hard to find people who understand and enjoy that kind of music in my town, and the few musicians I knew that actually liked it, already had a band. So… it took me a while until I found the right people.

Was thanks to a mutual friend that I meet Nicolás Domenicone. He is a guitarist who in that time was forming a band and looking for a singer. His original intention was to blend Hip hop with Hardcore and Metal, something very similar to Rapcore. That was close enough to what I was looking for, so I decided to give it a try even though, I’ve never sang before.

Al comienzo elegimos el nombre Epilepsia Sound for the band, because that’s how the first songs we did sounded to us, as an epileptic seizure, but we decided to change it for Mad Clown porque pensamos que el otro nombre podía resultarle ofensivo a algunas personas. Empezamos a tocar en vivo muy rápido, y muy seguido también. el recibimiento de parte del público y de la prensa local fué muy positivo.

MAD CLOWN – REAL REVOLUTION (LIVE, 1998)

We where very close to had enough good material to start to record our first studio album when Nicolás, the guitarist, decided to leave the band and focus exclusively on his other group: The Estigma. Even though I knew how to play all the songs in the guitar, at that time I was unable to play guitar and sing at the same time, so… we tried to find another guitarist with no luck.

By the end of 1999, almost at the same time José, the bassist, was invited to join another band called iRAe y yo fuí invitado a tocar la guitarra en Flor Mostaza. Hablamos con el baterista y decidimos separarnos.
